DAILY SUBSTITUTE TEACHER RATE=$150/DAY

 

QUALIFICATIONS:    The substitute teacher shall hold an appropriate teaching certificate or substitute teaching certificate issued by the New Jersey Department of Education.  The substitute teacher must have on file his/her criminal background check.

 

REPORTS TO:    The Principal or an appropriately certificated designee.

 

SUPERVISES:    Students

 

JOB GOAL:    The substitute teacher is responsible for the instruction and supervision of students in accordance with standards established by the Board of Education.

 

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:    

 

• Shall provide an atmosphere designated to stimulate student learning.

• Shall demonstrate an ability to organize and structure the learning environment.

• Shall cooperate in the implementation and enforcing school rules, administrative regulations and board policies.

• Shall enable each child to pursue his/her education as smoothly and completely as possible in the absence of the regular teacher.
